The United States Marshals Office,
the Wisconsin Department of Corrections
Sex Offender Registry Program and the
Grant County Sheriff’s Department recently
did a sex offender compliance check.
It was to make sure that registered sex
offenders were living where the registry
said they were residing.
According to Grant County Sheriff
Nate Dreckman, three sex offenders
were found to non-compliant.
As a result, the Sex Offender Registry
Program Specialist will investigate and
make recommendations concerning
the three to the Grant District Attorney.
The initiative is part of the working
relationship between the U-S Marshals
Sex Offender Investigations Branch
and the Wisconsin Department of
Corrections Sex Offender Registration
Program. The program monitors all
22,700 registered sex offenders in

last Tuesday and Wednesday (7/16 & 7/17).
