The Grant County Board of Supervisors
has approved a $60,000 loan from the
county’s Revolving Loan Fund to
Gro-Alliance of Cuba City.
Gro-Alliance will add six full-time
jobs at its’ seed processing and packaging
facility in Cuba City. Three of the jobs are
in management and will pay $24 per hour,
while the other three will pay $13.90 an
hour, after training. The jobs also include
health insurance coverage. Gro-Alliance
currently has 35-employees in Cuba City.
Terms of the loan are seven-years at
3% interest. The money will be used by
the company to buy drying and packing
equipment, as part of a $700,000
expansion. Because of the loan, the
company will expand its Cuba City
operations, rather than its’ facility in
Indiana. It also frees up capital for
Gro-Alliance, so it can extend natural
gas service to its’ drying facility.
