No one is injured after fire destroyed a

home early this morning (yesterday

morning) in northern Grant County in

the Town of Woodman. Firefighters from

Mount Hope responded to the blaze at

the Bob Johnson home on Rail Hollow

Road. Fire crews were at the scene for

over five-hours. Mutual aid was provided

by the Boscobel, Patch Grove, and

Bloomington Fire Departments.

The Grant County Technical Rescue Unit,

and several firefighters from Fennimore

also helped at the scene, along with the

Boscobel Rescue Squad and Woodman

First Responders.

According to Mount Hope Fire Chief

Rick French, the cause of the fire was

electrical and started in a wall between

the garage and the house. French says

the home suffered major damage and

the Johnson family lost most if not all

of their belongings.
