FENNIMORE SCHOOLS…GETTING IT READY TO BUILD

After last Tuesday’s overwhelming vote

in favor of a school building referendum

in the Fennimore School District, school

officials are starting to plan for the nearly

$6-million project.

District Administrator Jamie Nutter says

the first thing school officials want to do

is to be locked-in on low interest rates for

the bonding for the project. After that,

the school board and district administration

plans to meet with architects to draw-up

construction documents. That includes a

site plan so the work can happen while school

will be in session next school year.

Nutter says the goal is to begin some

demolition work for the project by

sometime in July.
