"Recent flooding in Louisiana has been described as the worst natural disaster in the USA since Hurrican Sandy. Sadly, a former Platteville native has been affected. Barbara Margan (daughter of John Margan, sister to Marilyn Hastert, David and Richard Margan, Pat Moxness, Janice Steinback, Nancy Steger, Karen Wagner, Lisa Peacock) has lost basically everything following the flooding of her home. Lancaster Financial Aid Night

Lancaster High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Night in the Hillery Auditorium on Monday, Oct. 10, beginning at 7 p.m. During this presentation, a Student Financial Assistance Manager from Southwest Tech will share information to assist in completing FAFSA forms. Family Advocates Walk Away From Violence

Family Advocates will be hosting its annual Walk Away From Violence event on October 18. The walk will begin at the Center for the Arts Building on the UW-Platteville Campus at 5:30 p.m. Following the walk, there will be a ceremony honoring all victims and survivors of domestic violence at Platteville City Park starting at 6 p.m. Projects created by survivors and their children will be on display in City Park during the afternoon of October 18.
