More recognition for the UW-Platteville

Pioneer football team. Pioneer Coach

Mike Emendorfer has been honored as the

Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

Coach of the Year. The honor comes from

the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.

Meanwhile, Pioneer Assistant Head Coach

Ulz Daeuber has been honored as the

Assistant Coach of the Year by the WFCA.

Daeuber also coaches special teams and

defensive backs for the Pioneers.

The two were honored on Sunday at

Lambeau Field.


The annual team awards have also

recently been announced at the postseason

banquet. Quarterback John Kelly was

named the team’s most valuable player,

while Wide Receiver Ryley Bailey was

named the offensive most valuable player.

The defensive most valuable player is

Linebacker Jacob Zilbar.
