A woman from rural Dodgeville who was

a passenger in one 0f two-vehicles involved

in a crash August 29th in Iowa County, has

passed away. Iowa County authorities say

78-year-old Alice Terrill died on Thursday (9/5)

at UW-Hospital in Madison. She had been

transferred there from Upland Hills Health

in Dodgeville on the 29th.

Terrill was a passenger in a vehicle being

driven by her husband Lowell on County

Highway-Z. Authorities say he was driving

south, when a vehicle being driven by

31-year-old Andrew Polkinghorn of Lancaster

ran the stop sign at the intersection with

Section Line Road, resulting in the crash.

Polkinghorn and two passengers in his vehicle

along with the Terrills were all taken to the

hospital in Dodgeville for treatment. The Iowa

County Sheriff’s Department says seat belts or

child safety seats were being used by all

of those involved in the crash.
