A man from New Vienna, Iowa is facing

charges of domestic abuse, assault with

strangulation, domestic assault with

injury, domestic assault while displaying

a weapon, child endangerment, first

degree harassment and interference

with injury. It’s after Dubuque County

Sheriff’s deputies and Dyersville Police

responded to a fight at a home on

Washington Street in New Vienna early

this morning (Friday morning).

The investigation shows 27-year-old

Troy Devore is accused of assaulting

his four-month-old son, his live-in

girlfriend, his mother, brother and

step-father. Authorities say he also

threatened to kill his mother, and

chased his step-father around the

house with a toaster. While arresting

Devore, a police officer from Dyersville

injured his ankle was trying to subdue

him. Devore was arrested and is in

the Dubuque County Jail awaiting

a court appearance.
