DARLINGTON POLICE ARRESTS THREE FOR RETAIL THEFTS

Hundreds of dollars in merchandise has been recovered by police after they arrested two women and a man from Beloit, who are linked to a retail theft investigation.

According to Darlington Police Chief Jason King, police were called around 1:30 pm on Wednesday about three persons stealing alcohol from the Darlington Mini-Mart on Galena Street. Police in Monroe stopped the vehicle after an “attempt to locate” alert was put out by authorities.

Arrested and returned to Darlington were 34-year-old Monique Banks, 40-year-old Felica Green and 33-year-old Andrew Banks.

Police believe the items found in the car the three were in, were from a number of businesses in different communities. Monique Banks and Green were released pending future court proceedings, while Andrew Banks is still in jail on an arrest warrant out of Rock County. The case is under investigation.
