CUBA CITY TO GET ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN

The Cuba City Common Council has approved

hiring Vierbicher and Associates of Reedsburg

to develop an Economic Development Strategic

Plan for the community. The council had been

asked by the city’s Economic Development

Director Taylor Gronau to have the plan developed.

Vierbicher will be paid just under $20,000

to develop the plan. It’ll be submitted to the

common council by next March 31st.

Among the areas to be studied in development of

the plan are a retail supply and demand analysis,

a business mix analysis, a residential housing

market assessment, an analysis of the downtown

district and the business park, and a look at

redevelopment site opportunities in the city.

Public outreach should also be a part of the

development of the plan.
