Pick and Play National Fingerpicker Champion Eric Lugosch

Description: It’s an original and inspirational show for the September 19 Songwriters Showcase. National Fingerpicking Champion Eric Lugosch will play at the Galena Center for the Arts, 219 Summit, Galena for a very special evening of music. There are no gimmicks or gadgets, just a genuine and gifted imagination with a fluency that comes from years of working on his craft. Eric’s arrangements of traditional songs and jazz standards are considered classics in picking circles, where he is regarded as one of America’s best original fingerstyle composers, and a talented songwriter. Eric has played and taught in festivals around the world including the New York Guitar Festival and guitar festivals in Great Britain and Sarzana, Italy. He’s had the honor of performing with guitar greats Doc Watson, Taj Mahal, John Prine and David Bromberg. Those who hear Eric perform will know they’ve been treated to something special and memorable. The performance begins at 7 pm. The concert is free but donations are always welcome. Small Art-Big Impact

Description: Small Art-Big Impact will be a fundraising event for the Galena Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 21 from 2 to 5 at 219 Summit, Galena, Illinois. The event is Unique. Small pieces of donated original artwork, with a maximum size of 8 by 8 inches will be available for $30. Each piece will be hand signed by the artist. Works will include drawings, paintings, pottery, woven works, jewelry and more. The event will also feature live music, beverages and munchies.
