CLASS III MILK PRICE STAYS ABOVE $23

The Class-3 Milk Price for March

remains above $23 per hundredweight.

The U S D A says at $23.33, that ‘s

two-cents below the record high it

set in February, and is $6.40 per

hundredweight above the price of

Market analysts say good domestic

demand for cheese and strong exports

of cheese, butter and non-fat dry milk

are the major factors for the strong

milk prices. Dairy industry officials

expect lower prices over the second

half of the year, but don’t expect a

sharp decline.
