The long-awaited renovation

and building project for the

Schreiner Memorial Library

in Lancaster got the green

light (this) last week. That happened

when the Lancaster Common

Council approved the bid of

Midwest Builders of Fennimore

on the project, of just over

$3-million. While in-kind

contributions to the project

weren’t at the level library

officials were hoping for,

there will be a way of saving

money on the project.

Kevin Eipperle of F E H

Associates…the architect

for the project…explains.

The groundbreaking ceremony

for the library renovations will be

held on Saturday, July 5th.
