Dubuque County Farmer Jeff Lucas

Jeff and Nancy Lucas have 250 acres
of corn and finish out about 9000 hogs
per year on their farm between Holy Cross
and Luxemburg in Dubuque County on
Highways 3 and 52.
Marlo Schultz of Schultz Farms and
Custom Harvesting continues his
conversation with Farm Director
Bob Middendorf about the harvest,
marketing and having his son, Michael
involved with the farm. Schultz and
his family have 350 acres of corn,
160 acres of soybeans, 180 acres of
hay and 50 acres of oats. They also
have beef cattle and Marlo’s wife-Sue
Brad Brudi farms between Woodbine
and Stockton, Illinois in Jo Daviess County.
Brudi discusses the soybean harvest on
Tyler Haugen and his wife Dee have a
small cow herd and run a Veterinary
Supply Company near Sturgis, South
Dakota at the foothills of the Black Hills.
