No one was injured when a car hit a cow on Mitchell Hollow Road near Platteville Saturday around 5:30am. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, 40 year old Kurt Wanezek of Platteville was traveling east on Mitchell Hollow Road and struck a Holstein cow owned by Larry Langmeier that was laying in the middle of the road. Wanezek’s vehicle crashed into the cow causing moderate damage. Wanezek was not injured in the crash. The cow ended up in the north ditch and was deceased. The vehicle was able to be driven away from the crash scene by Wanezek. This incident remains under investigation.
