BUSS CHARGED AFTER HITTING AMISH BUGGY

A man from Belmont has been released

after posting bond, after being charged

in connection with a traffic crash late last

night (Sunday night) in Lafayette County.

Lafayette County authorities say 31-year-old

Rory Buss has been charged with causing

injury by operating a vehicle while under

the influence, and for hit-and-run causing

injury.

Buss was reportedly driving on Truman Road

in the Town of Kendall, when he hit an

Amish buggy. The Belmont Ambulance

transported a passenger in the Amish buggy

to Southwest Health Center for treatment.

Buss was booked into the jail at Darlington,

and then released after posting bond.

The accident took place around 10:44 pm

Sunday.
