BEHRENS INJURED IN MOTORCYCLE CRASH

A man from Benton is injured in a motorcycle

crash Saturday night in the Town of New

Diggings in Lafayette County.

Authorities say 47-year-old Edward Behrens

was taken from his home by the Hazel Green

Ambulance to a hospital in Dubuque.

Behrens was reportedly driving north on

Bennett Road when he lost control of his

motorcycle. It went off the road and into

the ditch, but Behrens was able to return

it to the road and then drive to his home.

He initially refused treatment for his

injuries, but was taken to the hospital

by the ambulance. Behrens has been

cited for failure to notify police about

an accident. His Harley has moderate

damage.
