ANOTHER VETO IN FENNIMORE

Another motion to get rid of longevity pay

for city employees in Fennimore, and another

mayoral veto.

If you recall, Fennimore Mayor Chuck Stenner

vetoed the Common Council’s motion from

the December 9th meeting. It approved pay raises

for city employees, but also got rid of longevity

pay for city employees.

At the Fennimore Common’s December 23rd

meeting, the council approved another motion.

It again gave city employees a one-percent

pay increase, and called for the elimination

of longevity pay. Three days later, Mayor

Stenner vetoed that motion, citing concerns

over increased costs that employees are

seeing this year for health insurance and

pensions.
