The Fennimore Common Council

has learned there’s another water

leak at the public swimming pool.

Public Works Director Dennis Biddick

told the council the main

swimming pool has a leak that’s

losing about 15,000 gallons of

water a day. That’ll cost the city

about $3,000 for the swimming

season, which lasts until the third

week in August.

Combined with the recent closing

of the intermediate pool because

of leaking water pipes, the Fennimore

Common Council has decided to

create a Pool Advisory Committee.

The goal is to come up with a

long term plan on what to do with

the public swimming pool in

Fennimore, and what changes

can be made to improve it.

The Pool Advisory Committee

would consist of the mayor,

four common council members,

the city clerk and director of

public works, and four to five

residents. If you’re interested

in serving on the Fennimore

Pool Advisory Committee,

contact city hall.
