An inmate at the Grant County Jail is

facing charges of resisting an officer

and three counts of bail jumping after

refusing to cooperate with jail staff on

Monday night. Grant County authorities say

25-year-old Timmy L. Johnson of Dubuque

was going to be switched to a different

cell, because he violated jail rules.

Johnson reportedly resisted attempts

to move him, and he had to be moved to

a holding cell with the help of  additional

Sheriff’s Deputies.

Johnson is scheduled to appear on Friday

for a preliminary hearing on the new

charges. He’s being held in the Grant

County Jail on several other charges,

including fraud, bail jumping, vehicle

theft, bribery, disorderly conduct, and

resisting arrest.
