Adams Street in Lancaster will be rebuilt
this Summer. The project will include
Adams Street from Linden Street to City
Limits Street, and Birch Street from Monroe
Street to Adams Street. The work includes
complete reconstruction including
underground utilities…except water main.
That was replaced back in 1976.
Both streets will be widened by two-feet and
and the current sidewalk will be replaced.
The Lancaster City Council gave approval
to the project on Monday night and okayed
advertising for construction bids.
Bids will be opened on April 11th and
contracts awarded April 15th. Construction
work should start around May 13th and
the project should be done by the end of
August.
